Dig Balam 2

Overview

A planet does not have to sit in its own Kendra to gain Dig Balam. Rule 2 — the second of the eight rules — grants directional strength when the planet's Nakshatra lord (star lord) occupies the very Kendra the planet needs. • Example — Leo Ascendant: the Sun needs the 10th (Taurus). The Sun sits in Dhanishta, whose lord is Mars.
