In Vedic astrology a Badhaka house (Badhakasthana) is the house of obstruction — the word 'Badhaka' itself means pain, hindrance and suffering. It points to bodily hardship and the struggle to get results, so any planet linked to it tends to give its fruit only after great effort and delay.
