Varam is the weekday — the first limb of the panchanga. The seven weekdays are each ruled by a planet, and the planet's nature decides what acts the day favours.

How the filter works
By default all 7 days are allowed. Tighten by unchecking the days you want to skip:
- Marriage / housewarming / temple work: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Government / contract / leadership: Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday.
- Trade / shop / communications: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday.
- Travel: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday; avoid Saturday (slow) and Tuesday (mishaps).
For routine auspicious work most astrologers default to Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday.
