Joaquín Guzmán Loera, known as El Chapo, led the Sinaloa cartel and was for two decades the most powerful drug trafficker in the world. Born into rural poverty in the Sierra Madre, he grew opium and cannabis as a boy, built an organisation that moved cocaine into the United States at industrial scale, and escaped from two Mexican maximum-security prisons. He is serving life plus thirty years in Colorado.
The chart is read for crime, as every chart on this channel is — and cleared. What the reading gets right instead is the shape: poverty, a lift at twelve, the rise in the mid-eighties, and the fall that does not reverse.

Birth chart
D1 Rasi · D9 NavamsaThe Rasi chart is the birth chart itself. The Navamsa is its ninth division — each sign split into nine parts of 3°20′ — read alongside it for the strength a planet really carries, and for marriage. Both squares are drawn by the same engine as RVA Softwares, so the cusps in orange are the Placidus house cusps the software shows; the House column in the table below counts whole signs from the ascendant, which is what the video reading uses.

Houses here are whole sign — the whole rising sign is the first house, the next sign the second, and so on. That is what the video reading uses. RVA's own janam kundali chart uses Placidus cusps instead, so a planet early or late in a sign can show a different house number there.

The reading
Whole-sign houses, as used in the videoA prominent chart, read as prominent
The ascendant is Sagittarius at 4.84°, in Ketu's Mula — and Ketu itself sits in the Sun's Krittika, alongside an exalted planet. Jupiter, the ascendant lord, is in the tenth house. The conclusion drawn in the first ninety seconds: the native is a prominent personality — the combination needed for fame is already here.
Venus is exalted in Pisces and follows the Sun, the ninth lord and the special yogakaraka for this ascendant. Rahu connects to the tenth through Jupiter's star, which was read as a career that does not run in one line — he will not go through one profession; he will take twists through several.
The crime check, and where it went wrong
Every chart on this channel is checked for crime before anything else, because the readings work through categories. Here the check runs at 3:41 and clears it: Mars and the Moon are disturbed, the sixth house is weak, and the native is called a risky candidate — ready for risks nobody else would take. But then: it is not crime, because Jupiter is in the tenth, so we are treating it as mostly safe.
The reveal comes seventeen minutes later. Jupiter in the tenth did not make this chart safe; it made it organised. What the reading did read correctly, before knowing anything, was the appetite for risk that a weak sixth-eighth-twelfth axis produces, and the multiple professions Rahu's connection to the tenth promises.
Rahu must give the greatest result
The dasha map: Sun to 1958, Moon to 1968, Mars to 1975, then Rahu from 1975 to 1993, Jupiter to 2009, Saturn after that. Rahu has no planet in its star, so it delivers the condition of the ascendant lord — and the ascendant lord is Jupiter in the tenth. The line at 4:53: Rahu must give the greatest result.
The reading refuses to be frightened by guru-chandala yoga — Jupiter with Rahu — on the grounds that two yogakarakas aspect that Jupiter, the exalted Venus and the Sun, and Jupiter itself sits in the Sun's nakshatra. Jupiter's own period, from 2009, was called average: it carries the old thing forward, nothing miraculous. Saturn, from 2009 onward in the sub-periods, is where the health and the marakas come in — Saturn and Mercury are the strong killers for a Sagittarius ascendant, and the reading says so at 21:40, discussing what happens after 2017.
Reading against reality
9 of 10 calls matched to a documented event- 1957–68What the chart said
Progressive tenth house opposite Venus in the first years, with the Moon afflicted. Family situations explicitly not called great; nothing to expect from that side.
What happenedBorn into rural poverty in Badiraguato, in the Sierra Madre, one of several children in a farming family. The participant's summary of 1957 to 1969 was: poverty and survival.
- 1969What the chart said
Moon period, Rahu sub-period, with progressive Mars picking up an aspect: a lift through a change of place or circumstance, small but real, and Rahu opening the way to what the reading calls gambling behaviour.
What happenedStarted growing cannabis and opium poppies as a boy of about twelve — the participant's word was cultivation, and the small earnings that came with it.
- 1976–77What the chart said
Progressive tenth house square Uranus — the hardest bad aspect there is. Career struggle, no lift.
What happenedNo event verified for this call.
- 1985–86What the chart said
Mercury and Venus in mutual exchange, Mercury delivering Jupiter's result from the ninth: the first improvement of the chart, an opportunity or a pick-up.
What happenedRose through the Guadalajara cartel, moving from logistics into running shipments — the participant dated the start of the rise to the mid-1980s.
- 1988–89What the chart said
Rahu's period at its height, connected to the tenth, with the sixth-lord vipareeta yoga and the ninth and tenth all tying together. Unexpected progress beyond what the native himself expects.
What happenedEstablishment and, in the participant's phrase, massive financial growth — the Guadalajara organisation split after its leadership was arrested, and Guzmán took the Sinaloa operation.
- 1993What the chart said
A planetary aspect landing on the Moon in Saturn's sub-period: challenges in family or relationships, emotional uncertainty.
What happenedArrested in Guatemala in June 1993 and sent to a Mexican maximum-security prison — the participant's single word for it on the call was legal.
- 1999–2001What the chart said
The chart takes back its opportunity: by 1999 and 2000 it balances, he comes back.
What happenedEscaped from Puente Grande prison in January 2001, reportedly in a laundry cart, and was not recaptured for thirteen years.
- 2003–13What the chart said
Jupiter's period carrying the earlier result forward. Health and financial challenges asked about and dismissed; nothing in the chart to stop the run.
What happenedThe Sinaloa cartel became the largest trafficking organisation in the Americas; Forbes listed him as a billionaire from 2009. The participant called the whole stretch to 2013 the peak.
- 2012–15What the chart said
Progressive Mars square the tenth house — whatever has been running underneath for two or three years now comes out. Then a pick-up point offered for 2017.
What happenedCaptured in Mazatlán in February 2014, escaped through a mile-long tunnel from Altiplano prison in July 2015, and was recaptured in January 2016. The participant's word for the period was, again, legal.
- 2017 onwardWhat the chart said
The 2017 pick-up does not take. Saturn following Mercury, and Saturn with Mercury are the strong marakas for this ascendant: if the pick-up does not happen at the resistance point, there is no pick-up left.
What happenedExtradited to the United States in January 2017, convicted in February 2019, and sentenced to life plus thirty years. The participant's answer was that from there it was downfall.
Birth data as given on the call: 4 April 1957, midnight, Badiraguato, rated AA — though Guzmán's date of birth is not settled in the public record, with 25 December 1954 also reported. The astrologer considers rectifying the ascendant forward into the Sun's nakshatra and decides against it, so the chart read on the video is the one drawn here: Sagittarius rising in Mula, Ketu in the Sun's Krittika with the Moon in the same star, Jupiter in the tenth, exalted Venus in the fourth, and Rahu's period running from 1975 to 1993. The crime check at 3:41 clears the chart, which is the largest single miss on this page and is left in for that reason. Events were checked against public record.
