Warren Buffett is an American investor and philanthropist from Omaha, Nebraska — the Oracle of Omaha. He turned Berkshire Hathaway, a failing textile mill, into one of the largest holding companies in the world, and chaired it until he stepped back at the start of 2026. Forbes put his fortune near $149 billion in January 2026.

Birth chart
D1 Rasi · D9 NavamsaThe Rasi chart is the birth chart itself. The Navamsa is its ninth division — each sign split into nine parts of 3°20′ — read alongside it for the strength a planet really carries, and for marriage. Both squares are drawn by the same engine as RVA Softwares, so the cusps in orange are the Placidus house cusps the software shows; the House column in the table below counts whole signs from the ascendant, which is what the video reading uses.

Houses here are whole sign — the whole rising sign is the first house, the next sign the second, and so on. That is what the video reading uses. RVA's own janam kundali chart uses Placidus cusps instead, so a planet early or late in a sign can show a different house number there.

The reading
Whole-sign houses, as used in the videoThe chart before the name
The ascendant is Scorpio at 19.80°, which falls in Jyeshtha — close to the gandanta join at the end of the sign, though not inside it. The Moon sits in the first house in its sign of debilitation, in Anuradha. A chart that opens with a debilitated Moon on the ascendant is not one you would expect to read as a story about money.
The first call made from it was narrow and unflattering: the native can rise, but family matters carry the damage — marriage, and the personal family before it. Nothing about scale, nothing about wealth. That restraint is what makes the rest of the reading worth following.
Mercury is the placement that changes everything
Jyeshtha is ruled by Mercury, so Mercury is the ascendant's star lord — the planet the ascendant reports to. That Mercury is exalted in Virgo, in the eleventh house of gains. When the planet the ascendant depends on is exalted and sitting in the house of income, the chart has a prominence in it that nothing else in the horoscope explains.
There is a catch built into it. Mercury occupies Hasta, the Moon's nakshatra — and that Moon is the debilitated one on the ascendant. So the chart's strongest planet answers to its weakest. Mercury is also retrograde for part of its own period, which was read as: the real run does not begin when the dasha begins, it begins after Mercury turns.
An eighth house that works in reverse
Mars owns the ascendant and falls in the eighth house in Gemini. Read flatly, that is a bad placement. But Mars also owns the sixth, and the eighth lord — Mercury — is exalted and tied back to the ascendant. Sixth lord in the eighth, eighth lord exalted: this is vipareeta raja yoga, the reversal in which the difficult houses cancel into each other and produce result rather than ruin.
The qualification given at the time was that it would never be smooth. Almost every relevant planet here is retrograde or afflicted, so the chart was expected to move by twist and turn — failure, correction, then progress — and not by a clean ascent.
Where the chart is genuinely weak
Jupiter owns the second house and has also fallen into the eighth, alongside Mars. Venus, owning the seventh, is debilitated. Saturn — owner of the third and the fourth — is retrograde in the second house, and the Moon, natural significator of the mother, is the debilitated one. Ketu sits in the twelfth.
So the reading separated the two halves early and never walked it back: what the family houses lose, the tenth and eleventh return. Marriage and close relationships were called as the standing problem in a chart otherwise built to succeed. This is the part of the judgement that has aged hardest — and most accurately.
Saturn and Mercury: an investor, not a trader
Saturn casts its tenth aspect onto Virgo, falling on Mercury; Mars aspects the same Mercury from Gemini. Saturn with Mercury was read as mathematics — measurement, patience, an intelligence that works by calculation rather than instinct. Mars on it adds the harshness: decisions that read as blunt or contrarian to everyone else.
The Moon then explains the method. Debilitated, and in Saturn's star, it was read as real internal insecurity — a native who will not commit until everything has been measured. The conclusion drawn from it, before the name was known, was that this person would invest and not trade. Anxiety is what makes the caution profitable.
The Sun holds its own sign in the tenth house, in Venus's nakshatra, which is the one unambiguously clean thing in the chart and the reason the career line holds.
The thirty-six year window
The dasha sequence is what dated everything. Venus runs twenty years from 1961, Sun six from 1981, Moon ten from 1987 — a continuous thirty-six-year stretch from age 30 to age 66, landing exactly on the working years. Venus was judged the lift, the Sun good because it follows Venus and activates the exalted Mercury, and the Moon good because Mercury sits in the Moon's own star.
Before that: Saturn to 1937 and Mercury to 1954 were both read down, on the grounds that nothing was expected from the family side and Mercury turns retrograde mid-period. Ketu, 1954 to 1961, was given as a small unforeseen turning. Rahu from 2004 was allowed to give gains. Jupiter, from 2022, was read as a family period — Jupiter owns the second house and sits in the eighth.

Events were verified against public record afterwards: two given on the video were corrected here — Charlie Munger's death, stated as 2022, occurred on 28 November 2023, and the $373bn cash figure is Berkshire's year-end 2025 position. Rows where a call was made but no event has been verified are kept and marked, rather than removed.
