Introduction

Astrology (Jyothisham) is a subject of self-realization. The term ‘Jyoti’ translates to light, symbolizing its role as a guiding beacon during the uncertain and dark phases of our lives.

Nothing past, present or future can be changed using astrology. However, it does provide us with insights into these aspects. Astrological predictions serve as guiding lights to help us navigate our lives smoothly.

Traditional/Vedic astrology adheres to the principles of karma and reincarnation.

  • Druda Karma signifies unchangeable actions with immediate consequences.
  • Adruda Karma represents alterable deeds influenced by free will.
  • Sanchita Karma is the sum of all past actions and experiences, affecting present and future lives, emphasizing self-awareness and spiritual growth.
  • Applications of Astrology:

Astrology empowers us to evaluate events from our past lives and obtain a glimpse of what the future holds. We can primarily utilize astrology for two distinct purposes:

  • Materialistic Benefits of The Life
  • Spiritual Growth
  • How to Apply Astrology in Various Life Situations:

Astrology provides insights into human life through 12 distinct aspects. We can address these aspects through astrology, but it’s up to us to comprehend them. Astrology is a unique discipline where we seek to interpret things using our experiences and the language we are familiar with.

For instance, when we observe water, it typically flows downward, but there are situations where we cannot definitively say it flows precisely down or to the left. Astrology operates in a similar manner, and depending on the timing and context, we should interpret it accordingly.

    Life Scenarios Include:

  • Health
  • Education
  • Career or Business
  • Finances
  • Home and Stability
  • Marriage
  • Children
  • Challenges or Expenses
  • Spiritual Devotion
  • Regardless of the life situation, we tend to receive outcomes proportional to our effort and hard work. Occasionally, luck may grant us results that far exceed our hard work. Conversely, putting in tenfold effort and achieving unfavorable results can be considered unfortunate. Astrologically, we can gain insights into the timing and circumstances that influence each of these scenarios.

    Approaches to Learning Astrology:

Various methods exist for predicting the future, each with its own set of advantages and disadvantages. However, it’s our responsibility to choose the method that best suits our needs.

One significant challenge is the lack of comprehensive guidance in astrology, necessitating the exploration of multiple sources to obtain accurate predictions. It is crucial to cross-verify the predictions obtained from different sources.

Among the diverse methods available in astrology, predicting based on birth details is the most reliable approach. Let’s delve into the methods associated with it.

Astrology can be divided into three key segments:

Siddhantha Bhaga: This involves calculations, focusing on planetary positions and other mathematical aspects.

Phalitha Bhaga: This part deals with forecasting past, present, and future events based on the positions of celestial bodies. It heavily relies on birth details and time of birth.

Muhurta Bhaga: Embarking on any endeavor in life commences with a specific moment. Muhurta, in particular, magnifies the significance of that moment manifold. It signifies that any task carried out at a specific time gains tremendous strength.

    Methods in Astrology:

Parashara Astrology: It is often regarded as the foundational pillar of all astrological methods worldwide. Within this system, one can gain insights into predicting outcomes by analyzing the planetary positions and the dasha system. Dasha is which divides time into specific periods.

Jaimini Astrology: Jaimini Maharshi, who was a disciple of Parashara Maharshi, imparted his unique style for making predictions.

Nadi Astrology: In a standard Rashi cycle, there are 360 degrees, with each Rashi spanning 30 degrees. However, in Nadi Astrology, these 30 degrees are further subdivided into 150, 300, or even 600 parts, allowing for highly detailed and precise predictions.

Numerous sages have contributed to this field in diverse ways, with various schools of thought. Some notable examples include Brugu Nandi Nadi, Shiva Nadi, Tulya Nadi, Agasya Nadi, Mantra Nadi, and Tantra Nadi, among others.

Krishnamurti Method: Within the Krishnamurti method, particularly in query-based astrology, it focuses on answering specific questions without the need for detailed birth information. It excels in providing precise insights into important matters like marriage or employment.

Western Astrology: This system primarily interprets the outcome based on the planetary positions in any given year, primarily reflecting the individual’s mental state. According to this approach, a favorable mental state suggests the potential for achievement, while an unfavorable mental state may indicate a lack of success. Western Astrology does not emphasize concepts of karma or luck.

Hasta Samudrik (Palmistry): This method involves deducing outcomes from the lines on the palm. However, unlike traditional astrology, it may not provide outcomes with the same level of subtlety or precision.

    Remedies:

We have a strong belief that karma can be resolved through further actions, and thus, we must recognize that remedies are not a quick fix but rather a matter of habit.

What we offer to nature, it returns to us. If we believe we’ve aided someone in some manner, and that same individual doesn’t assist us in the same way, it may come back to us in a different manner.

In Jyotisha, there are numerous types of remedies, which manifest in spiritual forms like Yantra, Tantra, and Mantra. The extent of our comprehension and ability to utilize them fully remains uncertain.

Additionally, practices such as Japa, homam, tarpanam, donations, and temple visits are not inherently opposed by us. However, our objection lies in the idea of blindly following remedies solely due to their astrological associations.

It’s crucial to grasp one fundamental concept: Karma stems from our actions throughout our lifetimes, whether they are virtuous or otherwise. We firmly believe in the significance of understanding these actions and integrating positive karma into our lives.

    Conclusion:

While our primary goal may be to provide precise predictions, relying solely on a single method might seem adequate. However, considering the absence of a suitable mentor and the complexity of mastering the complete knowledge, it is advisable to focus on mastering one method thoroughly and then cross-reference it with other methods to achieve accurate results.

This course will primarily focus on Parashara Astrology, the Krishnamurti Method, and Western Astrology.

Traditional astrology naturally indicates the occurrence of auspicious or inauspicious outcomes based on our past karma. Western astrology provides insight into the moments when we can confidently move forward with determination.

Although these two approaches may seem contradictory, I’ll share a brief example of how I achieved remarkable results by combining these approaches.

Traditional astrology can predict whether a person can go from NewYork to London, but it doesn’t provide insights into whether the journey will be smooth or challenging. Western astrology doesn’t determine if the person will reach London, but it does indicate whether the journey will be comfortable or challenging.

We will also openly share our research in astrology and how we’ve created valuable astrology tools to simplify calculations for astrologers, particularly in the context of marriage compatibility.
