What is Vashya?
Vashya (meaning "control" or "attraction" in Sanskrit) assesses who naturally holds sway in the relationship and whether that power dynamic is harmonious. Each Moon sign is classified into one of five Vashya categories. Compatible Vashya means one partner's sign has a natural drawing power over the other, creating mutual attraction and willingness to yield — a sign of a lasting bond.
The Five Vashya Groups

Significance
Vashya is a minor kuta at just 2 points, but it speaks to the magnetic pull between partners. When Vashya is present, partners tend to naturally adapt to each other's needs and maintain the relationship through genuine attraction. Without it, the relationship relies more on conscious effort and shared values from other kutas.
