Biorhythm Calculator

The Biorhythm Calculator charts the three classical cycles believed to begin at the moment of birth and continue at fixed periods throughout life. The Physical cycle of 23 days governs strength, stamina, and resistance. The Emotional cycle of 28 days governs mood, sensitivity, and creativity. The Intellectual cycle of 33 days governs reasoning, focus, and decision making. The calculator returns the daily percentage value for each cycle along with a combined average and a trend line for the days ahead.

The Three Primary Cycles

The biorhythm theory was popularised in the late nineteenth and early twentieth century by Wilhelm Fliess, Hermann Swoboda, and Alfred Teltscher. Each cycle is modelled as a sine wave starting at zero on the day of birth, rising to a peak at one quarter of the period, returning to zero at the half period, dropping to a trough at three quarters, and returning to zero at the end of the period. The day on which a cycle crosses zero is called a critical day, when results are believed to be unstable in that area.

How the Daily Percentage Is Computed

The number of full days from your date of birth to the chosen target date is calculated. That day count is then divided by each cycle period and the fractional remainder is multiplied by two times pi to produce an angle. The sine of that angle, multiplied by 100, is the percentage value of the cycle for that date. A value near plus one hundred indicates a peak, a value near minus one hundred indicates a trough, and a value near zero is a critical day. The average is the simple mean of the three cycles for the same date.

Reading Your Chart

Use the high phase of the physical cycle for sport, fitness goals, or any task requiring endurance. Use the high phase of the emotional cycle for personal conversations, presentations, and creative work. Use the high phase of the intellectual cycle for study, planning, exams, and analytical decisions. Treat critical days for any cycle as days for caution rather than initiation, especially when two cycles share a critical day. Biorhythm is best used as a planning aid alongside Vedic dasha and transit analysis, not as a replacement.

Why Use a Biorhythm Chart

  • Plan demanding tasks for high phases in the relevant cycle.
  • Schedule rest, review, or quiet work during low phases.
  • Be cautious on critical days when cycles cross zero.
  • Track the composite average for an overall daily indicator.
  • Combine with Vedic forecasts for richer day-to-day timing.
